Why did Boris Johnson defend corrupt Met Commissioner?

Something smells in London. I couldn’t believe it when Mayor Boris Johnson seemed to say on TV that Met Commissioner Sir Paul Stephenson resigned because there were so many distractions to him doing a good job.
No. Sir Paul resigned because he was exposed as corrupt having taken a £12,000 freebie and because he was trying to hide that he was very pally with ex-News of the World editor Neil Wallis, who he knew was directly connected to the donor. Simple.
Sir Paul has also been exposed as having tried to stop the Guardian investigating in 2009 while he himself was dining out with Murdoch people. Could it be that the Mayor is somehow involved in this too? I think even more high-up heads could roll.
It is a mystery how Acting Deputy Commissioner John Yates is still in place having virtually admitted he is useless and that he closed an inquiry without even examining the evidence. Still, it’s only 9pm.
This is going to lead directly to David Cameron.

  1. I would like to know how many of the rank and file officers of the Metropolitan Police who get injured in the line of duty are packed off to Champney’s to recover?????

  2. And I would like to know why so many Metropolitan Police officers are able to shoot and kill so many unarmed and innocent people and yet are never charged with murder; or anything else for that matter.

  3. Aye Iain, its a fair scunner, ah’m shipping oot efter ra morra, leaving wee Jimmie, and possibly Davie, tae carry the can. Maybes ah’l move tae Scotchland, ma granfaither’s hame, ye seem mair accommodating there, and nae too bothered wi ma activities oan the Scotch Sun!

  4. The question now is, who will be the fall from grace at Westminster ? David Cameron who had freequent meetings with people from News International must be a very worried man along with other senior Tories. The Labour party must also be worried especially the Blairites. It will be very interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks and who will be thrown to the wolves.
The corruption at Westminster over the past few years has done more for the Independence lobby than the SNP ever could. Corruption has always been there but is it now getting worse and how deep does it run ?
There are many people like myself who are becoming disillusioned with Westminster and its scandals along with its lack of fairplay. You only have to look at the fuel prices here on islands and the disregard shown by MP’s in the South.
