According to the fundamentalist creed observed by the Free Church (Continuing), Mr Macleod could of his own free will have ditched his troublesome rams in the harbour, staggered aboard the ferry crossing life’s troubled waters where, fortified by the contents of two half bottles of Whyte & Mackay stuffed in his dungaree pockets, he breaks into ribald song whilst clutching on each arm a good-time buxom blonde. Surprisingly, such callous and hedonistic behavior won’t hinder his journey to the ultimate heavenly destination where he’s predestined to arrive in the life hereafter.

Whereas the selfless actions of a fellow traveler, who interrupts his assisting elderly ladies with their baggage only to talk a suicidal passenger out of leaping overboard, will count for nothing on the day of judgment or excuse him the agony of the encroaching flames, unless he is counted amongst the elect who’ve been predestined since the beginning of time to inherit the Kingdom Of Heaven.

Though I am in no sense anti-religion, I have yet to hear a convincing explanation of how the principle of predestination can truly reflect the will of a just God.

Anyone willing to have a go at answering this baffling question?

Donnie, he got one month’s suspension only because he repented. That is very obvious.

l am just thankful that he looked after the charges in his care,before himself.l believe he followed the example of one considered far greater than the mortals that make such a poor fist of their interpretations of his actions—well done him

one months suspension for them but eternal damnation for the rest of us . methinks the continuing is as riddled with nonsemnse as the rest of them . best stay clear .they attrract a certain type of person who is not quite as they seem.

The FCC keep banging on about how no law is greater than thoae of God. Therefore it is very easy; he should not have caught the ferry on Sunday. He should have made arrangements with a sympathetic crofter to put his rams somewhere for Sunday.

it disgusts me .People in glass houses etc etc.The fcc were against and are against sunday work/travel yet one of their top office bearers breaks their strong beliefs and he gets a MINIMUM punishment .What a message they send out here .Those who decided on this punishment judge others ( who wish Sunday travel) with contempt .When it is convenient Sunday travel is ok with some hypocrites.What about those people who hide in car park corners be it at the air port or pier car parks as they collect friends and relatives .They will not go into the building incase they are seen .What a joke .
