Last Tuesday (14 Jan) evening with 5.30pm departure from Ullapool. Having settled down for a calm (sea was peaceful and calm) crossing I was amazed to find (6.05) we were still tied up before being informed over tannoy “sorry for the delay we are now ready for departure to Stornoway” No explanation given for the delay. Maybe with the relative dead calm water they were just rechecking if there was wind somewhere out there in the dark!!
