I implore anyone who hasn’t already to have a scan through Mr MacNeil’s twitter feed. If, having done so, you can honestly say you consider this man fit to represent our islands in parliament, well, I give up.
Iain – some of us aren’t on Twitter. But nevertheless we recently read about his hounding of a young woman after a TV debate where he encouraged others to hurl abusive comments at her via Facebook and Twitter. Shocking, cowardly and ungentlemanly behaviour. Would people who behave like that on the internet do the same to a young woman on the street? If they directed that type of bile at someone on the street the Police would intervene – why is the internet and statements issued in that medium not subject to the same rigour?

Here you are, John, no need to be signed up to have a read through. I don’t know how a man who tweets this much can find the time to do anything else… although, on the other hand, perhaps that explains a lot…
This man is a cad and an embarrassment; he has done nothing to enhance his reputation, or help our islands in his ten years at Westminster.
I have told you all so repeatedly, yet you people up there in Stornoway, aided by the Returning Officer, keep voting him in to cause further embarrassment.
When will you learn the Angus Brendan MacNeil is an empty vessel?
About time someone raised the issue of the SNP and their war record. the snp leadership at that time were saying that Scots should cosy up with the Nazis and that the war was “England’s war”. Check out a guy called Arthur Donaldson he SNP leader at the time. I’m sure I will now get pelters from the cybernatz……
Well done Iain Campbell for drawing attention to the way the SNP supported the Nazis during the Second World War. The infamous Arthur Donaldson went on to become their chairman in the sixties and seventies. There is still an Arthur Donaldson lecture annually at SNP conferences.
Scratch the nat surface and something very nasty and unwholesome emerges.

But anyway, it’s great to see him using social media to keep in touch with constituents and let us know his policies for the islands… oh, wait.

Here’s one from Alasdair Morrison, just in the interests of balance.
