Agreed. These shows trying to mix news with entertainmnt can be done well, but they really need to up their recruitment of presenter intelligence level from “smart lad wanted”.
That used to be fine for putting the best fruit on top in the display at a greengrocer, and selling from the bottom.
The trouble is everyone thinks they are funny, and the audience are programmed to titter as needed!
