Normal service restored on this blog

Yes, I was hacked. Someone, probably in Singapore or thereabouts, got into my blog account late last night or early today. Some settings were changed, which is why the newest comments suddenly appeared at the top, but I don’t think any content was altered. There was an attempt at drafting a rude message which would then probably have been posted but it seems to have been abandoned or the connection lost.

The advice was to change passwords and switch off commenting for a few hours but not to explain it fully there and then.  Any comments from me about hacking at the time could apparently have been recorded as proof of success by the numbskulls responsible.

They have now given up and gone off to play with their skateboards but I appreciated the concern expressed by some.   And just to deny one mischievous rumour: no, I have not been served with a banning order by the Western Isles Labour Party. Oops, I hope I haven’t just given them an idea.
