SUNDAY 15 FEBRUARY FERRY CANCELLATIONS
Stornoway – Ullapool service
Uig – Lochmaddy – Tarbert Triangle Service
Due to a severe weather forecast – southerly gusting 58 – the above services have been cancelled. All other CalMac services in the islands are liable to disruption at short notice.
Hopefully the new LS might go to sea when the wind blows…
If it is such a good boat in the water, why did calmac not see the incoming weather and put her on the run a day early?
Passenger safety means No captain will go out in this weather
Watched a small yacht spanking its way down from the butt at mid-day today, meanwhile the bobbing corks that are ro-ro ferries are tied up in the harbour—bit of a contrast
I see a tug heading for SY with, I think, a tow has been dodging back and fore at Cape Wrath for 24 hours now, Is this wind farm stuff?
I like the new picture, except the new lift building looks like the Ice Plant at Ullapool. Maybe it’s the light.
