I’m sure that’s what our CEO Mr Burr would want if reports about the state he was in on the night of the last Referendum when he had to comfort Angus MacNeil who was crying at the back of the Sports Hall are anything to go by…..
No real surprise there, Mr. Burr must be the only returning officer in the UK who is always accompanied by his wife at the count, in full SNP regalia. He has also allowed the “YeSNP” signs to remain on display since last September in blatant contravention of the planning laws he is supposed to enforce. Another new sign has appeared at business premises at Parkend, and council bus stops and lamp posts are still littered with these signs.
All the other party’s contesting the election should lodge complaints and get him sacked. He trousers an additional salary on top of his £100k for this duty, in the region of £12k, while other people do the work. All he has to do is read out the result and comfort the Nat’s when they lose.

Sloppy drafting but I’m going to be interested to see whether the CEO apologizes for it – and what the terms of that apology are going to be.
